SAFEHAVEN MARINE SUPPLY NEW INTERCEPTOR 48 PILOT BOAT TO WILLIAMS SHIPPING IN THE UK
Safehaven Marine have launched ‘Willfreedom’ an Interceptor 48 pilot built for Williams Shipping and their operations at the Port of Southampton in the UK. She will be used for crew transfer operations and pilot transfers. Powered by a pair of Scania DI13 500hp engines she has a 25kts operational speed and proved very economical using as little as 50l/phr from each engine at 20kts. Capable of carrying a total of 12 passengers and 2 crew. Her accommodation is very well appointed and fitted, out providing a central helm position for optimal vessel control fitted with a full array of Raymarine navigation equipment. Grammer shock mitigation seating ensures crew and passenger comfort. Willfreedom is fully climate controlled with 27,000btu of air-conditioning and fitted with a 7kw AC generator, she provides full live aboard facilities in her spacious lower forward cabin, allowing for extended operations. Incorporating all Safehaven’s usual pilot boat features including special polyurethane bonded fendering system to fully protect her during boarding operations in heavy weather, and fitted with Safehaven’s proven MOB recovery platform. In her special Williams Shipping livery she sure looks very graceful. She is Safehaven Marines 51st pilot boat delivered. Willfredom will be exhibited afloat at the Seawork show at Southampton in June.
